Mindfulness Books
I have written two books on mindfulness: Mindfulness for Unravelling Anxiety (2016) and Mindfulness for Black Dogs and Blue Days (2012). They are intended to be practical guides for exploring the ancient path of mindfulness in the modern world. They are part roadmaps and part toolkits for your journey. They are published by Leaping Hare Press.
“Elegant and beautifully crafted” Dr. Jon Kabat-Zinn, the founding Executive Director of the Center for Mindfulness in Medicine, Health Care, and Society at the University of Massachusetts Medical School, and a seminal figure in developing mindfulness in healthcare settings, has described Mindfulness for Black Dogs and Blue Days as “elegant and beautifully crafted.” “A rare contribution” Dr. John Peacock, an eminent British scholar, meditation teacher and Associate Director of the Oxford Mindfulness Centre, has said that Mindfulness for Unravelling Anxiety’s “contribution to the genre of dharma and mental health is rare in that it does not sacrifice the depth and radicalism of Buddhist psychology and philosophy in the quest to provide a perspicuous account of how anxiety manifests in our lives and how it may be understood and alleviated by the diligent application of secular mindfulness practices.” Where to buy You can buy these books in all the usual places, or 1st edition hardback copies (signed if you wish) directly from me for £7 each, or both for £12 (add postage). |
